Manchester Furniture Show FAQs

WHO CAN VISIT?

The Furniture Shows are strictly for trade visitors only, which means it is not open to the general public. You need to be able to prove you are a relevant industry professional (eg: retail buyer, interior designer, specifier, manufacturer, agent etc) with a proof of trading such as a business card, letterhead, invoice, company registration etc. If you are setting up a new business in the next 12 months, or visiting with a colleague, you are welcome to attend but please ensure you have registered in advance for your personalised entry badge. 

Our exhibitors have a minimum order policy and will not sell to members of the public. No products are available to buy or remove from the show. If you are found buying for personal use, you will be asked to leave the exhibition. 

HOW DO I GET MY TICKET?

Registration is now open and completely free for all visitors. To secure your badge, simply complete the registration form by clicking here. We strongly recommend registering online in advance to avoid queues and ensure a smooth arrival on the day of the show.

HOW DO I PRINT MY BADGE?

Your ebadge will be sent to you 6 weeks out from the event via the email you registered with. Please bring it with you to gain entry, if you cannot print at home you will have the facility to print it when you arrive at the event. Registration and printing facilities are located at the concierge desk in the Central Foyer of Manchester Central.

HOW DO I REGISTER A COLLEAGUE? 

Each visitor will need to register through the website using their own email address, please note you will not be able to register 2 people under the same email address.

WHERE IS THE SHOW? 

The show is held in the Central Hall at Manchester Central. This venue is a 20 minute walk away from Piccadilly Station or just five minutes by taxi. Alternatively, connecting train can take you to Oxford Road Station - just five minutes from Manchester Central on foot. If using a satellite navigation system - please follow the postcode M2 3GX. WHAT ARE THE OPENING AND CLOSING TIMES? 

Sunday 6 July - 9:00-18:00

Monday 7 July - 9:00-17:00

There is strictly no access for visitors outside of these hours unless attending a networking event.

NETWORKING EVENTS

Happy Hour - 6th and 7th July from 3pm

We invite all visitors each day to join us at the Spritz Bar between 3-4pm to relax and unwind with a drink on us! 

 

Official Show Party - 6th July from 6pm

The Show Party is the perfect opportunity for exhibitors and visitors to raise a glass to a day filled with success. Taking place on the evening of the 6th July from 6pm

 

Women in Furniture Networking Event - 7th July from 11:30pm

Join us for an afternoon of learning, socialising and inspirational discussions from our amazing line-up of women. Don't miss out, 7th July 11.30pm-1pm in the Networking Hub.

IS THERE FREE PARKING? 

There is an NCP (National Car Park) directly below Manchester Central that is open 24 hours a day all year round. It has 700 spaces including 18 disabled parking bays and there is direct access to Manchester Central by lift, stairs and escalators.

WHERE CAN I ACCESS TAXIS? 

Taxis are available outside Manchester Central.

WHERE ARE THE CLOSEST CASH POINTS? 

There are no banking facilities located within the Manchester Central. ATM's are located on St Peter's Square and at the Tesco store on Quay Street. The closest banking facilities are: Royal Bank of Scotland, Mosley Street and Barclays, Mosley Street.

CAN STUDENTS ATTEND? 

Please note this is a trade only event, students are welcome if they're studying a relevant course but they need to be accompanied by an lecturer or a tutor. To arrange your registration, please email us at marketing@thefurnitureshows.com

CAN I BRING MY CHILD?

This is a B2B event, however, if there is a specific requirement, please speak to the operations team.

ARE THERE CLOAKROOM FACILITIES?

Manchester Central provide cloakroom facilities in the Central Foyer.

IS THERE FREE WIFI? 

There is general Wi-Fi access throughout the hall which is sufficient for checking emails etc. but should not be relied upon to show presentations or for streaming etc. If you require a specific, secure or maintained connection, please order this with the venue.

CAN I OBTAIN A VISA FOR TRAVEL TO THE SHOW?

The organisers of Manchester Furniture Show regret that they are not able to send out letters of invitation for visitors from overseas in order to help secure visas. If your business is relevant to the show, you will have to provide evidence to the British Embassy in your country by submitting proof of your employment and the nature of your employer's business. Please DO NOT contact the organisers about a visa, as all requests for letters of invitation will be denied.

ARE FOOD AND REFRESHMENTS AVAILABLE ONSITE? 

Pick-up lunch, snacks and refreshments from the Festival Food Court, located at the back of the exhibition hall.

ARE THERE DISABLED FACILITIES AT THE SHOW? 

Manchester Central has three entrances which are all accessible, sensor-activated and feature Paxton Intercoms for assistance from the Control Room if required. The venue also has lots of room for wheelchairs and several self-propelled wheelchairs (not mobility scooters) available for use. BUSINESS FACILITIES

There is a dedicated Business Centre located at the concierge desk in the Central Foyer which has printing and scanning facilities. These are chargeable facilities. Please contact businesscentre@manchestercentral.co.uk for more information.

INFORMATION POINTS

The Organiser's Office is located at the back of the hall.

PHOTOGRAPHY & VIDEOGRAPHY

Clarion Events have appointed a sole official photographer for the exhibition. To prevent annoyance to exhibitors, no other photographer will be allowed to work in the hall without prior written permission from the Organisers.

Please note, the use of digital cameras and camera phones are also not permitted in the halls unless you have prior permission from the Operations Team.

TOILETS

Toilets, disabled toilets and changing facilities are located inside of the exhibition hall.

SECURITY

Bag checks will be taking place at the main entrance along with security scanners. We thank you in advance for your cooperation.

LOST PROPERTY

Manchester Central keeps lost property for two months. After this time it is given to charity. If you have lost something at Manchester Central, email our concierge team or call 0161 834 2700.

TRADE-ONLY EVENT

This is a trade-only event. Our exhibitors have a minimum order policy and will not sell to members of the public. It is not permitted to buy products to remove directly from the show. If you are found buying for personal use, you will be asked to leave the exhibition. 

CODE OF CONDUCT

Discriminatory of aggressive behaviour towards, or offensive to, individuals or groups for reasons of age, disability, sexual orientation, class, ethnicity, race, colour, faith, marital status or gender will not be tolerated at The Manchester Furniture Show. Individuals found not to adhere to this policy will be asked to leave. Reports of any inappropriate behaviour can be reported in confidence to the Organiser's Office.
