Tell us about yourself and your brand. How long have you been in business?

Welcome to Resolux Ltd — a furniture company born from creativity, craftsmanship, and a shared passion between founders Shannon and Ben.
Our story began three years ago when we set out to commission a resin river table. When the original maker dropped out, returning the materials, we decided to take on the challenge ourselves. Taking on the challenge ourselves, we poured our hearts into crafting our very first table—a journey that would set the foundation for Resolux.
Shannon, a qualified teacher, has always found joy in both family life and nurturing young minds. Her passion for education is matched by a love for creativity, which she weaves into her teaching through hands-on crafting. That same imaginative spirit fuels her work at Resolux, where each project reflects her enthusiasm and eye for detail.
Ben, on the other hand, has a background in Product Design and Manufacturing. With ambitions of becoming a furniture designer, life led him to a successful career operating multiple companies in the drone manufacturing sector. His expertise in design and production complements Shannon’s artistic vision, bringing a balanced approach to each piece we create. Together, they blend their skills and experiences to ensure that every item at Resolux is not just a product, but a labour of love.
Our first resin river table still sits proudly in our home, a symbol of our beginnings. It even withstood a major flood that forced us to move out for six months. With walls stripped and 18 dehumidifiers running day and night, the table endured. For us, it’s a lasting reminder of what Resolux stands for: resilience, passion, and the love that Shannon and Ben pour into each creation.

How did your company begin?

Our journey began three years ago when we were inspired to create a resin river table after our original maker unexpectedly dropped out and returned the materials. Taking on the challenge ourselves, we poured our hearts into crafting our very first table—a journey that would set the foundation for Resolux.
The resin river table that started it all has become a treasured piece in their home, not only showcasing their dedication but also surviving a significant flood that forced them to leave their home for six months. During this challenging time, 18 dehumidifiers worked tirelessly to dry out the house, and plaster was stripped from the walls, yet their beloved table remained intact. This piece stands as a true embodiment of Resolux—showcasing resilience, exceptional craftsmanship, and the love that Shannon and Ben pour into each creation.

 

Knowing what you know now, what advice would you give to your younger self?

The advice I would give to my younger self is to be resilient, persevere and it will all come together in the end. 

 

Could you share details about any new collections or ranges you’ll be showcasing at the Manchester Furniture Show?

At the Manchester Furniture Show, we’ll be showcasing the EHE range—a beautifully crafted collection that reflects the brand’s signature minimalist aesthetic. The EHE range combines natural materials, clean lines and thoughtful detailing to create pieces that feel both timeless and contemporary. 

Each item is made to order in Estonia with a strong focus on quality, sustainability and design integrity—perfect for retailers and designers looking for something distinctive yet enduring. With over 1000+ combinations for the EHE bedframes, due to our ability to customise the finish, fabric and legs, there is plenty of scope for anyone looking for something a bit more unique!

 

Do you have any personal favourites in your latest collection?

Our favourite piece in the collection is the dining table as that was our very first piece and what started Resolux. It proudly sits in the centre of our house as a reminder. 

 

What are you most looking forward to at the show?

I am most looking forward to meeting everybody and experiencing Resolux’s first show. 

 

Have there been any highlights for you over the past year that you’d like to mention?

One of the most meaningful highlights from the past year has been launching Resolux together as a couple—turning a shared dream into a joint adventure that’s brought us even closer.
