Tell us about yourself and your brand. How long have you been in business?

My name is Yong Yan, and I am the Co-Founder at PICK4U LTD. I'm so excited to be part of this China - UK furniture startup, and the past few months have been amazing. I truly love the concept, where we carefully select the best furniture that aligns with each individual’s living space. As a result, our products feature many smart designs and functional features. We specialise in functional furniture and recliners that combine modern functionality with classic design.

With over 21 years of design and production experience, our headquartered in Jiangxi Province, Southern China, has become a leading manufacturing bases. We specialise in furniture, household items, functional products, lighting, and more. Our facilities cover 80,000 square metres, with 6 factories, 4 warehouses, and 17 advanced injection moulding machines capable of handling over 1,400 tonnes. This allows us to produce up to 30,000 pieces monthly. Over the years, we’ve earned a solid global reputation, exporting to more than 100 countries and regions and meeting diverse lifestyle and design needs around the world. Starting in 2024, our UK company PICK4U Ltd has established, focusing on expanding its business in the European market with the full support of its Chinese headquarters. We have set up a warehouse in the UK to supply a wide range of premium functional armchairs and sofas. Our mission is to provide high-quality furniture at unbeatable prices to local retailers and furniture showrooms, empowering them to meet the evolving needs of their customers., focusing on expanding its business in the European market with the full support of its Chinese headquarters. Knowing what you know now, what advice would you give to your younger self?

I never imagined that one day I would build a career in the furniture industry and help expand the presence of smart, functional furniture made in China overseas. Launching a startup business is never easy. If I could advise my younger self, I would say always be ready to seize opportunities to learn and step out of your comfort zone — that's where growth and success is truly happening.

 

Could you share details about any new collections or ranges you’ll be showcasing at the January Furniture Show?

I definitely recommend our newly launched product, the Multi-Functional Sofa Bed, combines the features of a single bed and a reclining sofa. It offers flexible adjustment of the backrest height, making it an excellent choice for limited living spaces. Additionally, it includes a unique leg elevation support, ideal for individuals requiring special care. This thoughtful design makes it a functional and comfortable option for elderly or disabled users. I believe Pick4U Ltd embraces human-centered functional design, making people's lives more convenient.

 

Do you have any personal favourites in your latest collection?

My personal favourite is our trendy Ronda Recliner Armchair collection, featuring a range of vibrant colours that complement any lifestyle and living space. With its seamless electric recliner, it effortlessly adjusts to any position for ultimate relaxation, whether you're chilling, watching TV, or charging your devices via the built-in USB port. It also allows you to browse on your mobile phone without any discomfort. The rolling and rocking functions add an extra element of fun to your daily life.

 

What are you most looking forward to at the show?

It’s definitely about connecting with great people and feeling the pulse of the dynamic furniture design and trade industry.

 

Where do you see the furniture industry heading? Are there any styles or trends making a comeback, or any designs you think are least likely to return?

I would say the main trends are sustainable materials and eco-friendly designs. As we specialise in functional furniture, a key highlight is the space-saving trend, with furniture that adapts to multiple uses, such as sofa beds, foldable tables, and expandable storage units, especially popular in smaller living spaces. Another important trend is health and wellness support, with furniture designed to promote physical well-being, such as adjustable backs or designs tailored for people with special care needs.

We will continue to bring more smart products and functional furniture to the market. With our strong manufacturing background at our headquarters, we are excited to team up with brands and retailers to deliver high-quality furniture solutions.
