Tell us about yourself and your brand. How long have you been in business?
For the past 8 years, I’ve been proud to be part of the 3C Group, where creativity, innovation, and passion really take centre stage! As a newcomer to the furniture industry, I now find myself hopping around international trade shows, visiting customers worldwide, or simply hanging out here in Ostwestfalen, the heart of the German furniture scene. And our showroom? At over 2,300 m², it's more space for furniture than some flats have!
It’s 1991. While the world is leaving behind the hairstyles of the 80s, a brave businessman (still the owner in 2025) lays the foundation for what is now the 3C Group with 3C Carina. Fast forward five years, and voilà, 3C Candy is born! Since 2007, we’ve been the proud owners of state-of-the-art production facilities in Europe. Then in 2013, we added the "third C": 3C Contract. And because we’re always eager to keep the momentum going, we’ve bundled our upholstered beds and sofa beds under 3C Candy Sleep. So, technically, the 3C Group is really a "4C Group" – but who’s counting?
Knowing what you know now, what advice would you give to your younger self?
Stay curious: Curiosity is the key to experiences and opportunities. Make mistakes. They’re not the end of the world. Trust your gut: Trust yourself. Be open to change: Life happens off the beaten path.
Could you share details about any new collections or ranges you’ll be showcasing at the January Furniture Show?
The 3C Group: Modern, innovative, independent, special, and healthy. Enjoy relaxation features with heart-balance position for maximum comfort, as well as being at the forefront of design and aesthetics. Get ready to be surprised and come visit us!
Do you have any personal favourites in your latest collection?
Yes, the "heart-balance position" to get the maximum of relaxation and the eye catcher with a very soft and cloud-like seat.
What are you most looking forward to at the show?
Networking Interaction with visitors, presentation of our products and inspiration, learning from competitors.
Have there been any highlights for you over the past year that you’d like to mention?
Yes, the feedback on our exhibition stand and the genuine interest in a "new, German manufacturer" who has been visiting the JFS for just three years is incredible. The wonderful and respectful feedback from both customers and potential customers has been truly uplifting.
Where do you see the furniture industry heading? Are there any styles or trends making a comeback, or any designs you think are least likely to return?
I believe that the world, politics, and daily life are becoming increasingly challenging for everyone, both personally and professionally. As a result, the "cool and minimalist" design language seems to be evolving into something "rounder and cozier." Home is becoming a refuge where one wants to feel comfortable. There’s a focus on coziness, but also on functionality and durability.
What’s next for your company?
A successful winter period 2024/2025 with the highlight of the JFS at the NEC 2025 to start with passion into the new year.
