Deirdre Mc Gettrick is the founder and CEO of ufurnish.com, an online search and comparison platform that brings furniture and homeware from hundreds of retailers into one easy-to-navigate destination. Built to simplify the often-daunting task of furnishing a home, ufurnish.com helps shoppers discover, compare and design with confidence, all in one place.

The idea was born from Deirdre’s own experience of furnishing her first property. Frustrated by fragmented choice and endless browser tabs, she set out to build what is often described as the “Skyscanner for furniture”, a tech-led solution that connects consumers with everything from established high street brands to independent, design-led names.

An award-winning entrepreneur, Deirdre was named New Entrepreneur of the Year at the Lloyds National Business Awards and recognised as one of the UK’s “35 Women Under 35”. Before launching ufurnish.com, she built a successful career in finance as Vice President in Leveraged & Acquisition Finance at HSBC. Today, she brings that commercial rigour together with a genuine passion for interiors and innovation, helping to shape a more connected, customer-first future for furniture retail.
