Tell us who you are and what your brand is? How long have you been in business? Have you exhibited at January Furniture Show before?

This is the first time Sandland Packaging have exhibited at the January Furniture Show and we are really looking forward to it! Creating brilliant, beautiful, incredible furniture is the most important part of the story – but it’s essential it reaches customers in perfect condition.

That’s where we come in.

With our deep understanding of furniture packaging, we know that beautiful furniture needs strong, secure and robust packaging to make sure it reaches its destination without a mark. It’s a special day for customers when they take delivery of their new furniture – making sure the packaging works is an essential part of the delivery.

And, with Sandland Packaging, sustainability comes as standard. All of our packaging is certified CarbonNeutral, so you can show your customers how you are doing your bit for the environment.  

How did you start your company? 

Furniture can be tricky to package and transport. At Sandland Packaging, we’ve spent the last 40 years specialising in safe and secure packaging for those items that are an awkward or difficult shape. Our Design Process means we audit your item, provide relevant samples and CADs and ensure your bespoke packaging design protects your furniture.

Knowing what you do now, what advice would you give to yourself when you were first starting? 

Knowing what we know now, we’d have focused on sustainability even earlier than we did. Despite this, we are proud of our achievements so far including:

·         Being FULLY CarbonNeutral

·         Achieving ISO 14001

·         Holding FSC certification

·         Planting a tree for every 5 orders manufactured

And if you’re currently using any plastic or polystyrene packaging, we are experts in replacing this with corrugated, for a more sustainable solution.

Can you tell us about your new collections/ranges that you’ll be launching at January Furniture Show?

The whole of our range is certified CarbonNeutral and we’ve been working on ways to include this on our packaging. We will be showing examples of how we can flexo print in two colours – so your customers see your brand messages, environmental credentials and any package handling information when they receive your furniture.

Any personal favourites from your new collection?

All of our bespoke packaging is special – but our favourites are always the ones which meet a client’s very specific and detailed brief – and some are very detailed! We think creatively about each request to make sure every aspect of your furniture is cushioned, cared for, protected and safe.

What are you most looking forward to at the show?

Being part of a brilliant show and learning from the exhibitors and delegates. It’s our first time and we want to play our part in contributing to what will be an amazing show.
