Tell us about yourself and your brand. How long have you been in business?

Pavlyk is a Ukrainian manufacturer of solid wood furniture, specialising in oak dining tables and chairs for residential, retail and hospitality interiors. Founded and led by Yosyp Pavlyk, the company has grown into one of the recognised names within the Ukrainian furniture industry, supplying high-quality wooden furniture to international markets worldwide.

Sofa and tablePavlyk works closely with furniture retailers, interior designers and HoReCa projects that value natural materials, durability and timeless design. With years of manufacturing and export experience, the company combines traditional woodworking skills with modern production processes to deliver consistent quality, scalable volumes and reliable lead times for international partners.

The brand’s reputation extends beyond manufacturing. Pavlyk is regularly featured by Forbes Ukraine, and Yosyp Pavlyk has been repeatedly nominated as one of Ukraine’s most promising entrepreneurs, reflecting both business performance and industry leadership.

Today, Pavlyk focuses on building long-term cooperation with UK and European retailers, furniture boutiques and design studios, offering flexible production, private-label options and stable export logistics.

How did your company begin?

Pavlyk began as a family-driven woodworking business, rooted in a deep respect for natural materials and craftsmanship. From the outset, the goal was simple: to create well-designed, durable wooden furniture that would stand the test of time in everyday use.

Starting with solid wood tables and chairs, the company gradually expanded its production capabilities, investing in technology, quality control and international certification standards. This evolution allowed Pavlyk to grow from a local workshop into a global exporter, working with partners across Europe, the UK, North America and beyond.

Throughout its growth, the company has remained guided by a clear philosophy: honest materials, functional design and long-term reliability — values that remain central to Pavlyk’s work today, particularly within hospitality, dining and contract interiors.

Knowing what you know now, what advice would you give to your younger self?

Looking back, the key advice would be to focus on systems and long-term efficiency from the very beginning.

Pavlyk started as a small workshop in the founder’s own yard, driven by craftsmanship and hard work. Over time, it became clear that sustainable growth requires structured production management, process optimisation and investment in people.

The introduction of Lean manufacturing principles proved decisive, enabling consistent quality, controlled costs and the scalability required to compete in international markets.

Could you share details about any new collections or ranges you’ll be showcasing at the January Furniture Show?

At the January Furniture Show, Pavlyk will present a curated selection of solid oak and beech tables and chairs designed for residential interiors, furniture retail and hospitality projects.

The showcased models focus on timeless aesthetics, structural durability and production efficiency. Thanks to Lean manufacturing processes, Pavlyk is able to offer competitive pricing on solid wood furniture while maintaining high standards of materials and finishes.

Several pieces have been developed specifically for HoReCa and contract use, featuring reinforced constructions, flexible sizing and finish options suitable for intensive daily operation.

Do you have any personal favourites in your latest collection?

Within the latest range, particular attention is drawn to the solid oak dining tables and chairs, where minimalist design meets robust construction.

These pieces reflect Pavlyk’s core philosophy — honest materials, balanced proportions and furniture that performs equally well in private homes, boutique retail spaces and hospitality interiors.

What are you most looking forward to at the show?

The January Furniture Show is seen as a valuable opportunity to connect directly with UK retailers, furniture boutiques and interior designers.

Pavlyk places strong importance on long-term partnerships built on reliability, transparency and consistent quality, and the show provides the ideal setting to discuss upcoming projects, bespoke requirements and export cooperation.

Have there been any highlights for you over the past year that you’d like to mention?

Over the past year, Pavlyk has focused on strengthening its export position and optimising internal processes.

Key highlights include the continued development of Lean manufacturing practices, allowing the company to maintain stable quality and pricing despite market volatility. Pavlyk has also expanded cooperation with international retail and hospitality partners, supplying solidtable oak and beech furniture across multiple markets.

Another important milestone has been increased recognition of the company’s business model and leadership approach, with the founder regularly cited by business and industry media — including Forbes — as an example of a resilient and forward-looking manufacturer.

Where do you see the furniture industry heading?

Pavlyk sees the industry moving clearly towards durability, material honesty and long-term value, rather than short-lived trends.

There is renewed interest in solid wood furniture — particularly oak — with clean lines and restrained detailing that can adapt across residential and commercial environments. Timeless forms are increasingly favoured over decorative complexity.

At the same time, overly ornate designs and furniture driven purely by fashion cycles are becoming less relevant, as buyers prioritise functionality, repairability and consistency.

What’s next for your company?

Looking ahead, Pavlyk plans to further strengthen its presence in the UK and EU markets, focusing on long-term partnerships with furniture retailers, interior designers and hospitality operators.

The next phase includes the development of contract-ready collections, expanded finish options and continued investment in production efficiency. The goal is to deliver reliable, scalable solutions for partners who value solid wood craftsmanship combined with modern manufacturing discipline.
