Tell us about yourself and your brand. How long have you been in business?
Furnt was founded almost six years ago with a clear aim: to offer well-designed, reliable furniture that genuinely meets customer needs. Based in London, the business has grown from an online retail brand into a trusted partner for trade and project clients. Today, Furnt specialises in contemporary, design-led furniture supported by a strong global factory network, enabling consistent quality, competitive pricing and dependable supply for developers, interior designers and landlords.

How did your company begin?
Furnt began with the belief that furniture sourcing should be simple and trustworthy. While working in online retail, it became clear that many trade clients struggled to find products that balanced good design with reliable supply. This gap led to long-term partnerships with carefully selected factories and a hands-on approach to product development and quality control. That close involvement at every stage remains the foundation of the business today.

Knowing what you know now, what advice would you give to your younger self?
Be patient, stay consistent and trust your instincts. Focus on building long-term relationships rather than quick wins. Most importantly, visit factories, meet people face to face and understand products at the source—it makes all the difference.

coffee tableCould you share details about any new collections or ranges you’ll be showcasing at the January Furniture Show?
At JFS, Furnt will introduce two new ranges for 2026. The first is a budget-friendly steel-frame collection designed for high-volume and rental projects, offering clean design, durability and strong value. The second is a premium wood-crafted range for living and bedroom spaces, made using carefully selected timber and refined craftsmanship. Both collections are tailored for project and contract use, combining practicality with contemporary style.

Do you have any personal favourites in your latest collection?
The premium wood pieces are a particular favourite. Dining and coffee tables, along with bed frames featuring FSC-certified New Zealand wood slats, balance warmth, craftsmanship and everyday usability. These are the pieces that best reflect Furnt’s design values.

What are you most looking forward to at the show?
Meeting clients in person is always the highlight. The show offers a valuable opportunity to understand what designers and developers need right now, explore new collaborations and see how the UK market is evolving.

Have there been any highlights for you over the past year that you’d like to mention?
Despite market challenges, the past year has been a strong one. Furnt has expanded its product offering, strengthened factory partnerships and introduced an Asia-based warehouse model, giving clients greater control over stock and lead times. Continuing to invest in personal service and direct factory relationships has been a key achievement.

Where do you see the furniture industry heading?
Demand is growing for project-ready furniture that combines good design, durability and fair pricing. Clients are seeking flexibility, clarity and customisation, alongside natural materials, clean silhouettes and warm textures. Overly ornate and heavy styles are becoming less relevant for modern interiors.

What’s next for your company?
The focus is on further strengthening Furnt’s B2B offering and building long-term relationships with designers, developers and project clients. Plans include expanding the project-led range and enhancing sourcing solutions through the factory network and Asia storage model, with the aim of making furniture sourcing simpler, more transparent and more personal.
