How did your company begin?
While our brand is young, our roots run deep. Our manufacturing journey began in 2004, and today we operate from a state-of-the-art, 30,000 square metre facility in Indonesia, home to over 600 skilled artisans and specialists. This scale allows us to blend traditional techniques with modern precision, ensuring exceptional quality at every stage of production.
Denbigh Rowe was born from a desire to fuse this heritage of craftsmanship with a contemporary British design sensibility—bringing quiet luxury and Indonesian artistry together. What began as a passion for materials and detail has evolved into a brand committed to creating outdoor spaces of beauty, ritual, and retreat.
Knowing what you know now, what advice would you give to your younger self?
In the early days, it’s easy to chase trends or quick wins, but the most rewarding path is staying true to your values: quality, sustainability, and purpose. I’d remind my younger self that building something timeless means being patient, investing in relationships, and never compromising on the details that matter.
Could you share details about any new collections or ranges you’ll be showcasing at the Manchester Furniture Show?
After our successful soft launch event showcasing 3 collections in our new showroom in Kings Road, Chelsea, we want to exhibit a larger range of our collection to showcase the depth of our craftsmanship, new finishes, and exclusive pieces designed specifically for the 2025 season - with a particular focus on Izmir and Cavala collections.
Do you have any personal favourites in your latest collection?
One of my personal favourites is the Colmar Collection which blends laid-back elegance with innovative rope work, capturing the essence of timeless outdoor living with a contemporary twist.
What are you most looking forward to at the show?
We’re most looking forward to connecting with interior designers, retailers, and industry professionals who value craftsmanship and design as much as we do. It’s a great opportunity to share our story, gather feedback, and showcase the full scope of what Denbigh Rowe offers — especially as we expand our presence into physical retail within the UK.
Have there been any highlights for you over the past year that you’d like to mention?
Absolutely — our major highlight has been the opening of our flagship showroom on Kings Road, Chelsea. It marked a major milestone in bringing the Denbigh Rowe brand to life. We also had a fantastic response at our soft launch event during the Chelsea Design Quarter Summer Party, which gave us a chance to connect directly with the design community and preview our debut collections.
Where do you see the furniture industry heading? Are there any styles or trends making a comeback, or any designs you think are least likely to return?
We see the furniture industry moving toward purposeful design — where quality, sustainability, and timelessness take priority over fast trends. There's a growing demand for pieces that blend indoor-outdoor living, using natural materials and organic forms to create calming, versatile spaces.
What's next for your company?
Next for Denbigh Rowe is the official launch of our Kings Road showroom this summer, where we’ll be unveiling our full 2025 collection. We're also expanding our trade program and developing new partnerships with interior designers and luxury hospitality projects.
Looking ahead, we’re exploring international opportunities and continuing to innovate with sustainable materials and design processes that reflect our commitment to quiet luxury and enduring quality.
