Could you share details about any new collections or ranges you’ll be showcasing at the January Furniture Show?
For the upcoming January furniture show, we are excited to showcase a variety of new products that will be launching in 2025. Our collection includes a range of bedroom and dining furniture e.g. the Axel & Herringford ranges. Functional ottoman beds, such as the Maisy and the Halfden. And many more beds like the Arabella, Marley, Nora and Tilly. Elegant scandi-inspired beds, and multi-functional pieces tailored for diverse interiors. These products are available in multiple styles and configurations, with several SKUs ready for display. Each product has been thoughtfully designed to cater to the latest trends in home decor, and the samples for these products will be available at the show. We're eager to introduce these new items, which reflect both quality craftsmanship and cutting-edge design.
Do you have any personal favourites in your latest collection?
Some of my personal favourites would include the Axel bedroom and dining range a sit offers a fluted style which we have not yet done before and is very on-trend and a popular style with customers. The Halfden beds are a classic as we have already launched the standard Halfden bed which was widely adored by customers and a fan-favourite. This being the case, I look forward to the showcase of the Halfden Ottoman and the bed in a grey & walnut formation to go alongside the original white bouclé and oak style. I'm confident the Ellwood armchair will also be a hit at the show as it will be available in 2 colours- Oak & Fabric and Walnut & Bouclé. A perfect blend of comfort and contemporary design. With its sleek lines and inviting upholstery options, this chair is an ideal addition to any room.
What are you most looking forward to at the show?
I am most looking forward to communicating with customers and the social aspect to be able to share our visions and focuses for the future and most importantly showcase our wide ranges of new products for the year. The January Furniture Show is also a great opportunity to communicate better than ever with customers and visitors and be able to receive feedback and possibly highlight areas in which we can improve to ensure customers have the best experience possible with us.
Have there been any highlights for you over the past year that you’d like to mention?
This past year has been remarkable for us, with a few key highlights worth mentioning. We've expanded our Willis & Gambier range significantly, launching three brand new collections that have been well-received and added great value to our portfolio. Additionally, SleepSoul has continued its growth trajectory, becoming the number one hybrid mattress brand on Trustpilot, a testament to its quality and customer satisfaction. We’re also excited about the development of more items in our Birlea range, enhancing our offerings to meet diverse customer needs. Altogether, it’s been a year of strong progress, and we look forward to building on this momentum.
Where do you see the furniture industry heading? Are there any styles or trends making a comeback, or any designs you think are least likely to return?
I believe the future of the furniture industry lies in finding the right balance between affordability and quality. Consumers are increasingly looking for stylish, durable products that offer long-term value without breaking the bank. As designers, it's our responsibility to create furniture that not only meets aesthetic expectations but also stands the test of time, both in terms of design and functionality. Looking ahead, sustainability will play an even bigger role. We are likely to see a growing emphasis on reducing our environmental impact, particularly in areas like packaging and supply chain practices. Businesses that prioritise sustainability and actively work to reduce their carbon footprint will not only meet consumer demand but also set a positive example for the industry as a whole. Leading in this area makes both environmental and business sense, and it’s something we’re committed to embracing as we move forward.
