The doors at the NEC Birmingham will be swinging open on Sunday for the 2024 edition of the January Furniture Show. This year's show see's the introduction of an array of exciting new additions that are guaranteed to enrich the visitors experience and foster an environment centred round networking and building the future of furniture together. 

It’s nearly time for the January Furniture Show 2024 

The excitement is building as it is just a few days till the January Furniture Show (JFS) opens! From 21st - 24th January, the NEC Birmingham will host over 400 furniture and homewares exhibitors showcasing their latest collections, ready for retailers to source. 

The 2024 edition of JFS will be like no other with the show’s high-end, fresh look and feel along with the introduction of a host of exciting new features and events. This year’s show will embody JFS’ motto - ‘Building the future of furniture. Together.’ - with an emphasis on networking at the show’s brand new Champagne Bar and Crafting the Future Networking Hub, along with many networking events. Visitors will be able to reconnect with the industry at the Show Party, the Women in Furniture Network: Speed Networking and Happy Hour. 

JFS has always been the industry’s meeting place as the first show of the year, uniting exhibitors and visitors from across the UK and beyond. This year won’t disappoint with visitors registered from as far as Brazil, Canada, India, Japan, Malaysia, Philippines, Qatar, South Africa, Thailand, USA and more. Along with visitors from top retailers including Arthur Llewellyn Jenkins, Connollys of Moy, DFS, Dreams Ltd, Fishpools, Freemans, Furniture Village, H&M Furniture, Laura Ashley, Marks & Spencers, NEXT, Sainsbury’s Argos, SCS, Sofology, Stokers, The Cotswold Company, The Very Group along with many more.

Same show, a whole new look:  

Following the introduction of a clean and contemporary muted colour palette earlier in the year, the show floor has been revamped to optimise the visitor journey across the show’s core areas: Premium Design (Hall 1), Home & Lifestyle Show (Hall 2), Living, Dining & Cabinets (Hall 4), and Upholstery & Beds (Hall 5). Each hall will have a distinct look and feel, reflecting the different segments of the furniture market. 

Champagne Bar:  

Network and socialise in style at the beautiful Champagne Bar in the centre of Hall 1. This high-end bar offers the perfect space for business meetings and networking in a relaxed setting to meet peers and build lasting relationships.

Festival Food Court:  

Enjoy a variety of delicious lunch options in a relaxed setting in Hall 2. With a diverse range of cuisine from around the world, you will be sure to find delicious lunches to suit your taste buds and enjoy a well-deserved break from product sourcing. 

British Brands at their Best:

Across the show’s 4 halls visitors can follow the British Trail and explore high quality British Made furniture and homewares, including: Alpha Designs, Ashwood Designs, Breasley UK Ltd, Celebrity Motion Furniture, Knights Wood Studio Ltd, La-Z-Boy UK, Lebus Upholstery Ltd, Tokyo Fabrics Int Ltd, Vogue Beds, Westbridge Furniture Design plus loads more! 

WIFN comes to JFS:

The Women in Furniture Network will be hosting their 3rd event on Monday 22nd January at the Crafting the Future Networking Hub. As the Women in Furniture Network continues to grow this event will be centred around Speed Networking giving women from across the industry the chance to meet and mingle with others in a supportive and empowering atmosphere. Before the Speed Networking commences there will be talks from Donna Bellingham, CEO Shackletons, Laura Newbold- Breen, COO ACID and more soon to be announced.

Celebrate at the Show Party: 

Raise a glass with the industry at the Show Party as the winners of The Furniture Awards are announced in partnership with Furniture News at the Champagne Bar on the Sunday evening from 5:30pm. Meet with clients and build connections as the industry comes together to celebrate standout brands in the awards categories; Best of British, Global Player, Design Innovation and Superior Service. A great networking opportunity.

Product Focus Areas:  

New for 2024, the show will introduce new dedicated “Product Focus” areas throughout the halls, shining a spotlight on the latest products and exciting new names entering the industry. Visitors will be able to explore the likes of Arca Living, Dappr, Flintshire Furniture, JJ Textiles, Lovely Linen, Nicoletti Home, Nila Parmar, Samer Furniture, Shepherd of Sweden, UAB and Barker Home.  

Crafting the Future Networking Hub:  

Meet the next generation of furniture designers and be inspired at the Crafting the Future Hub in Hall 5. Here visitors will be able to enjoy talks from industry experts ACID, AMUSF, BIRA, FIRA, Sylva Foundation and The Furniture Makers’ Company that will offer visitors the opportunity to pick up key industry information and actionable tips that will help their business thrive. The Hub will also be home to live creations by emerging designer-makers who visitors will be able to interact with. 

Clarion Retail’s Portfolio Director, Zoe Bonser, reiterated the show’s motto by saying “We can’t wait to open the doors this weekend and welcome thousands of new and returning exhibitors, visitors and partners, all looking to connect, network and source the best in UK and international furniture. We truly are building the future of furniture, together.”
